1. About us
Catsource Ltd (“Catsource”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
Catsource Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08459529.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or how we use your personal information, please contact us at:
Email: info@catsource.co.uk
2. Information we collect
When you contact us through our website contact form, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including:
- your name;
- your company or organisation;
- your email address; and
- the contents of your message.
We may also receive personal information when you contact us directly by email or communicate with us in connection with an enquiry or potential business relationship.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information submitted through our website or sent to us directly for the purpose of:
- responding to your enquiry;
- communicating with you about the products or services relevant to your enquiry;
- discussing a potential or existing business relationship; and
- maintaining the security and proper operation of our website and contact form.
We do not use information submitted through our contact form to add you to a marketing mailing list.
We do not currently use website analytics or advertising tracking services to profile visitors to this website.
4. Our lawful basis for processing your information
Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing personal information.
Where you contact us with a general business enquiry, we normally process your information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and conducting and developing our business.
Where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract with you, we may process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or because it is necessary for the performance of a contract.
The ICO requires organisations to tell individuals both the purpose of processing and the lawful basis being relied upon. (Information Commissioner’s Office)
5. Contact form submissions
Our website uses Kali Forms to provide the contact form.
Completed contact form submissions are not stored within our WordPress website database. The information you submit is sent to Catsource so that we can receive and respond to your enquiry.
Correspondence resulting from your enquiry may subsequently be retained in our email systems and business records where reasonably necessary.
6. Spam and security protection
Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect the website against automated submissions, spam and abuse.
When you use a form protected by Turnstile, Cloudflare processes information associated with your browser and interaction with the Turnstile service in order to determine whether a request appears to have been made by a legitimate visitor rather than an automated system. Turnstile generates a token which is validated when the form is submitted. (Cloudflare Docs)
We use this service for the legitimate interest of protecting our website and contact facilities against spam, abuse and malicious automated activity.
Cloudflare may process information internationally in accordance with its privacy arrangements. Further information about Cloudflare’s handling of personal information, including information relating specifically to Turnstile, can be found in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use Google Analytics or similar website analytics services.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the technical operation, security or functionality of the website and services such as Cloudflare Turnstile.
If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, we will review this Privacy Policy and our cookie and consent arrangements as appropriate.
8. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information.
Your information may be processed by organisations that provide services necessary for us to operate our website, email and IT systems.
This may include our website hosting provider, email service providers and security providers such as Cloudflare.
We may also disclose personal information where we are legally required to do so or where this is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
9. International transfers
Some of the technology and service providers we use may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
10. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Contact form submissions are not stored in our WordPress database.
Emails and other correspondence arising from an enquiry may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The appropriate retention period may therefore depend upon the nature of the enquiry and whether it develops into a business relationship.
11. Your data protection rights
Depending upon the circumstances and the lawful basis on which we process your information, UK data protection law gives you rights which may include the right to:
- ask us for a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict the way we use your information in certain circumstances; and
- object to our processing of your personal information where we rely upon legitimate interests.
The application of these rights depends upon the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing. (GOV.UK)
Where we process your personal information on the basis of legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing in certain circumstances.
To exercise your rights or ask a question about your personal information, please contact:
12. Complaints
If you have concerns about how Catsource has handled your personal information, please contact us in the first instance at info@catsource.co.uk so that we can investigate.
You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Information about your rights and how to make a complaint is available from the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The ICO specifically requires privacy information to explain the individual’s right to complain to the supervisory authority. (Information Commissioner’s Office)
